What you read, and what actually sounds

The name changes with your horn; the pitch does not. A tenor reading B, an alto reading F♯ and a piano reading A are all sounding the same 440 Hz. Everywhere on this site, what is drawn is written for your instrument and what is played is the concert pitch it really makes.
